Head Coach

Alysa Beattie

Welcome to the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Aqua Otters webpage! I am excited to return to the MJKAO Club for my second year of coaching, following five years of competing - making this my seventh year being associated with the club as a whole.

Teamwork is a concept that has been instilled in me since a very young age; whether it be the variety of sports and clubs I’ve partaken in, or coming from a large family. There is no “I” in team!! This foundation, along with respect, work ethic, compassion, commitment, friendship and many others you can experience for yourself, firsthand.

I am a fully qualified coach, including my NCCP Level 1 in coaching, RIS and MED training, as well as concussion training. Through my five years of competing, fantastic role models and coaches, and attending Sask Winter Games twice (2014 as an athlete, 2018 as a coach) along with a deep commitment to constantly improve, I have also been equipped with the necessary tools to be a great coach.

This year I will be going into the grade 12 at Vanier Collegiate and pride myself on being a multi-sport athlete as well as an honour roll student of 3 years. Through experiences with other sports, I have also been given many volunteer coach opportunities for camps and skills nights.  These have provided me an opportunity to teach others what I have learned, and in turn taught me many important life skills like how to deal with people of all ages, backgrounds, and coaching styles, helping me to become a better rounded person.

I am looking forward to having your childrent as part of the MJKAO family, so here’s to an Otterly-amazing season and GO OTTERS GO!!
